IAP Images from Yale University Art Gallery Now Available

The Yale University Art Gallery has collaborated with ARTstor to make approximately 600 images available in the Images for Academic Publishing (IAP) program. Featured are images dating from 5300-4800 BCE to the 20th century, including works by such artists as George Bellows, François Boucher, Frederic Edwin Church, Gustave Courbet, John Singleton Copley, Edgar Degas, Thomas Eakins, Frans Hals, Hans Holbein, Winslow Homer, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Frederick Remington, Georges Seurat, and Tiepolo.

The IAP program is intended to defray the costs of museums delivering high-resolution image files to scholars for academic publications, and to foster scholarly publication in the history of art by providing these high-quality TIFF image files free-of-charge to both ARTstor subscribers and non-subscribers alike. For more information, visit artstor.org/iap.

In addition to the Yale University Art Gallery, ARTstor is currently collaborating with eight other contributors: Metropolitan Museum of Art (IAP’s founding partner), Indianapolis Museum of Art, Princeton University Art Museum, Northwestern University Library, and University of California, Irvine, Bryn Mawr College, Getty Research Institute, and Walters Art Museum.
